Why servicing is important

  1. Safety: It is crucial that your equipment is in good condition to avoid accidents. Poorly serviced skis or snowboards can behave unpredictably and compromise your stability. Think about your own safety and the safety of others!
  2. Performance: Well-maintained equipment performs better. Wear, rust, or damage will negatively affect your skiing or snowboarding experience.
  3. Increased lifespan: By taking good care of your equipment, it will last longer, saving you money in the long run.

The pleasure of gliding down the slopes or boarding through powder snow is unparalleled. But to fully enjoy your winter sports adventures, it is essential to keep your ski and snowboard equipment in top condition by having it serviced regularly.

At Galy Sport, we have state-of-the-art machinery that allows us to offer professional servicing. We wax, sharpen and repair all brands of skis and snowboards. Golden tip: bring your skis in after every holiday. That way you avoid the big crowds and your equipment is always ready to go!

When you bring in your skis or snowboard, we look at the degree of damage and recommend the right service. You can find the different types of servicing in the table below.

In addition to the maintenance types below, we also offer other, less common repairs, such as:

  • Glue in a patch of base material
  • Gluing tip or tail
  • Edge repair after heavy impact
  • …

Charges for these kind of repairs depend on the degree of damage and will be communicated to you in the shop.

Sometimes we are getting very old or deformed material in for servicing and then the below types of servicing are not always possible. We will always try to communicate this in advance, but sometimes this only becomes clear during one of the maintenance steps and we have to make adjustments. We will then be sure to inform you about this.

* Bring in your snowboards without bindings. There is a €20 surcharge for dismounting and remounting the bindings during servicing! For you, this is a matter of loosening a few screws, for us it requires a lot of organisation in terms of storage and getting your stance identical again.
