A full wood core gets enhanced by two sheets of Titanal which feature a cut-out in the tip and tail of the ski. This helps provide easier turn initiation and control over the ski for an effortless carving experience. At 72 millimeters underfoot, this is certainly on the narrow side of things, perfect for frontside carving, but it is wider than a true race build, so it will handle a bit of chop and variable snow a bit better than a dedicated slalom race ski would in comparison. A slight bit of rocker in the tip of the ski allows for smooth entry into the turn and will provide more forgiveness to the ski, which most of us need anyway. Stockli uses their Full Edge Contact construction in the Laser SC which provides maximum effective edge through a carve for precision and stability and gives you the feeling of a true tip to tail carve. A medium-short radius allows you to make quick, dynamic turns but also allows for stability on longer arcs at high speeds as well.
